About

Welcome to my blog!

I’m Courtney, and I write to track my riding progress, talk about my life, create ridiculous stories about my animals, and talk about whatever else comes to mind. I own a farm, and am in the process of renovating it to be my perfect horse farm, until I get really sick of it, and then I plan to move to someplace that needs no improvements. Oh, and also I have lots of chickens, because chickens are amazing.

I’m interested in riding in the hunters and equitation, and hopefully will be doing lots of showing this year.  I have a small collection of equines, all of whom I can’t imagine being without!

Berry

Capture9 Berry is my primary riding horse. She was intended to be a racehorse, but it was apparent very quickly that she has zero desire for it. I take lessons on her, take her to shows, and any other thing I feel like doing! I’m hoping we can get lots of show miles this year, and hopefully do some bigger shows! DSC00751(r)

Vintage

Capture17 (2) Vintage is my horse from when I was teenager. I got her as a smug, no-it all teenager, who thought I completely train a green horse. It’s now been years, she’s given me quite a few injuries, but she’s kind of trained, so success! She’s getting up in years now, but I’m hoping she has many more left in her. Capture14(2)

Pony Man

treat Pony is my tiny German Riding Pony. I got him as a dressage prospect, but I thought he’d be 14 hh. He’s more like 11.3h, so a bit small for me, but we will see what we can do. He’s been away at training, and I’m excited to see what his future will hold! ponypissed
