I’m Not Terrible at Traveling

Today I took my first ever solo flight. It sounds silly, but I’m kind of proud of myself. Previously I have always traveled with my parents or my husband. I would just follow them like a puppy around the airport and they would direct me to the appropriate areas. It worked out just fine for me as no thought was required.

But then my boss asked me, “Want to go to Texas?” And it resulted in my solo trip to Texas. I was feeling very anxious, but I discovered the secret. Flat out tell the airline  working that it’s your first time. They all smiled and directed me. Everyone from SouthWest was so nice. It was so easy! Almost so easy that I probably shouldn’t feel proud of myself, but whatevers. I can feel it if I want to.

I made it through the flight, and got a taxi from the airport from the hotel. It’s weird, but I feel like such a grown up. I have successfully arrived at the hotel on my first business trip. If I wasn’t so tired, I’d go to the bar and have a drink to celebrate.

WP_20140910_007I wore this very simple outfit to travel in. Victoria’s secret workout pants, a shirt from a 5k I did, and this amazing leather jacket, which is basically the reason I will allow the internet to see this picture. It’s the first time I’ve worn this jacket, and I absolutely love it. I also wore shoes, but since we’re all friends here, I’ll let my green socks be shown.

The woman who sat next to me on the plane knew how to dress. She was wearing a lovely pale green jumpsuit, bangle bracelets, and also had a leather jacket, but hers was brown. She was lovely.

I need to step it up on my next travel I think. Hopefully tomorrow’s outfit will be a hit though!
