Upperville Has Started

It’s one of the best times of the year…. Upperville-mas, where we celebrate being together with beautiful horses, and the ones who have been really good this year receive ribbons from the mythical St. Claus Bride! I think they officially shortened the name to Upperville Colt and Horse Show because Upperville-mas is such a mouthful. For the full history, check out this link. I think they may have recorded the history a little differently than I just described, but I promise you my retelling is totally accurate. I’m super cereal.

For the lucky ones in the area, and able to take off work, a car pass is only $45 and valid for the whole week. I heard rumors that if you enter in Phelps19 it will bring it down to $30. It’s a great deal, and I wish I could go this year! Sadly I think it would be a bit much for me, as I would have to bring my baby daughter, so I’ll be sitting this year out.

For those like me who aren’t able to go this year, they are living streaming from their site https://upperville.com/. Scroll down and you’ll see the option of the jumper ring or hunter ring.

Here’s a few pictures I took from years past.

I should note, I still haven’t been invited to the VIP tent. I know I couldn’t go anyway, but extending the invitation would be nice! Maybe one of these days…

Enjoy your Upperville-mas!
