This is the Sky set, pull on riding tights with belt loops and a performance top. Like all of Sync’s other clothing, they are made of compression material, but so flexible and comfortable. It feels like I’m being hugged, but at the same time I could go out and do a full gymnastics routine. I mean, if I knew how to do that, which I don’t, but I feel like I could, if I wanted to.
The top is so flattering looking. It has white bands on the side which make my waist look really trim. Under the arms is a vent, to keep you a bit cooler, since it is long sleeve. I am really big on sun protection, so my preference is to have long sleeves, but I will take any cooling possible!
But they are still long sleeves, so not as cool as no sleeves. As you can see in the picture to the right, taken immediately after my riding lesson, I did get sweaty. Now truly I would have been sweaty regardless of the sleeves, as it was a hot day and riding makes me sweaty.
Also, this shirt has an awesome feature that I can’t believe doesn’t show up more – the inside is BLACK, meaning you can wear a black bra with it. I was wearing a black bra every time I wore it, and it was not visible. Like, seriously, come on clothing manufacturers, this needs to be a thing, I don’t have an endless supply of nude sports bras, and I don’t want my bra constantly visible! So yeah, I loved this shirt for that reason.
The pants are really flattering, too. Light colors can sometimes be really unflattering, especially since my behind is like 1/3 of my body, but these still look really good. They are also lined black on the inside, so I don’t have to worry about nude underwear. I could wear my festive pink polka dots or just anything I wanted.
By the way, the “lining” is not so much lining, it’s part of the fabric. I don’t understand textile technology so I don’t know how this works, but it’s one piece of fabric, but one side is blue, and the other is black. It blows my mind that this is possible without a hint of blue on the black side or black on the blue side.
This is a really neat set, and one of the only times I’ve liked having a “matchy-matchy” thing going. That’s not normally my style, but this outfit is just too cute. I love it, and I feel kind of like a superhero every time I ride in it.
Unrelated to any of this, I am still without a noseband, and it seems like I’ll never find it. You take it off one time, and then it’s like it vanished into the wind. I’m still going to wait a bit longer to see if it shows up. I’m going to give it a year or two, and then I’ll think about replacing it.
