Sewing, the Continuation

I’m really slow at getting through my sewing class. I need to pick up the pace, but I’m having trouble finding the motivation. Once I get started, I chug through it, but the difficult part is getting to it when there’s tons of other things that need doing.

I went to the fabric store to get materials for my projects. There were so many gorgeous fabrics there. It is motivating to see the beautiful fabrics, as I want to learn so I can turn them into something I can wear.

But instead of the beautiful fabric, I bought some low cost stuff to practice with. It would upset me if I turned the beautiful fabrics into big messes.

Speaking of huge messes, that’s how my latest sewing project turned out. The teacher didn’t even accept it, but told me to redo it. She was very nice about it, and told me not to be discouraged.

It’s a case for glasses. Yes, it is pretty awful.

I thought it was a mess turning it in, but I just wanted it to be over with. Now to redo it… with my new cheap fabric. She wants me to reread my tutorial on bindings. I’m be glad in the long run, when I learn to do it the right way.
