Sync Equestrian Winter Breeches Review

I’ve been wearing Sync Equestrian‘s Winter Breeches for a while now, so it’s time for the review!

Full disclosure, I am a regular photographer for Sync. I do a lot of their e-commerce photos, and the more styled fashion shoots. It’s a woman=run company, a great supporter of women (I am inspired every time I’m there) and the positivity and fun we have on set makes them one of my favorite clients.

But, even if I didn’t know them, I would still love these breeches. I truly do! They are my go-to breeches now, I don’t ever want to wear other ones. Other breeches seem completely uncomfortable, and they now lay dormant in my drawer. Let me tell you why I love them!

Design Features

Excuse my closed eyes, turns out I’m pretty bad at looking awake in photos.

The breeches I have are the winter designs. I have the maroon, black, and tan. I regularly wear the maroon and the black, but I haven’t really worn the tan because it just feels like a show color to me, and I don’t show. All of these breeches are winter weight, which means they are double fleeced, basically two layers of fabric together. They are quite warm on cold days, although I wear them regardless of if it’s cold or not, as I don’t want to wear other breeches. Also I get cold easily anyway, so I’d rather bundle up.

Super Stretchy

I like being able to actually pull on my breeches easily, and not having to struggle. Some breeches, have really stiff or tight feeling fabric, likely to provide support, but it makes it slightly annoying to pull on. Not Sync, they feel like yoga pants to pull on, quick and stretchy. All the normal things I do at the barn, like walking around, riding, climbing trees, and playing sea creatures, are super easy and comfortable, with no digging bands, or too tight fabric. They just move so well.

Flattering

Despite the stretchiness, the feel very supportive and they lay really nicely. They smooth out any lumpy bits. I love the style of the high waist! Since they are so stretchy, they hug everywhere, and it makes the fit flattering.

It Has Pockets

Deep, and stretchy pockets. I can’t even ride in breeches now that don’t have pockets that will fit my phone. These pockets are lower on the leg, so my hip isn’t constantly bumping the phone with every stride. My phone is completely secure – easy to grab if I want it, but I also don’t even notice it while I’m riding.

Grippy

The inner leg and butt has a grippy overlay on it, it might be silicone but it doesn’t raise up from the fabric, it’s just grippy little puddles all over my legs. It is super grippy – the first time I wore them, I noticed I was now gripping to the seat of my car, which maybe could be an advantage during a fender bender.

The grippiness really makes me feel secure riding. It actually helped out a lot when I was nervous about Stu spooking, I felt like I was glued to the saddle, which made me feel a bit more confident.

The ominous outline of the phone.

Overall, I like these breeches so much, I don’t even want to wear other brands. I like being comfortable while looking good, and these exactly fit my needs. I highly recommend them if you’re looking for a warm, comfortable winter riding pant. Find them at Sync Equestrian.
